Totality and awareness in living – the key to an acceptance of dying

“Death happens in a single moment; it is very intense. Death is the culmination, the crescendo. Death is the greatest orgasm there is.”  Osho

Death is not what your fear says it is
We are all pregnant – men and women – with death! It’s part of the package that comes with birth…the inescapable reality we live in. Yet there is so much misunderstanding about death, so many scary beliefs and superstitions. Not only do we see death as the enemy, but a fundamental death anxiety runs like an undercurrent throughout our lives, sabotaging our ability to live joyously, in trust and gratitude.

Sharing with others who have similar issues, we will bring awareness to ways we live that may be hindering our joy and trust. Through simple, effective meditation methods we will gather resources to use beyond the duration of the course. Resources that can change our understanding and appreciation of life and death.

WHY ATTEND THIS COURSE?

Accepting death: The way to a life of joy and fulfillment
Why would you attend this course? Because probably, like most people, you have been brought up to think life is separate from death, that death is a mistake, a catastrophe. That basic misunderstanding is deeply embedded in us through our conditioning. It makes us cling to life, relationships, achievements, and to think we are the sum total of our body and mind. It makes us view death as an enemy of life that will cut us off from all that we value.

Death: the crescendo of life – don’t miss it!

Once we understand that being present to each moment, and being open to exploring the unknown, is the only way to live a fulfilled and joyous life, it makes sense to approach dying in the same way. But superstition and misunderstanding about death mean that most of us are so fearful that we become unconscious when we are dying. And that means we miss the very crescendo of life.

WHAT WILL I LEARN?

Maneesha’s sessions – on meditation, all life-related issues and those around dying – are based on her 47 years’ experience of meditation. In addition, she spent seven years in Osho’s evening meetings (“darshan”), observing and recording his conversations with seekers from all over the world. The experience of twenty-plus years as an international meditation-based course facilitator continues to broaden her understanding, love, and respect for those she works with.

More about Maneesha

“Meditation prepares you for death… it helps you to know death without dying. And once you have known death without dying, the fear of death will disappear forever. Even when death comes, you will be silently watching it, knowing absolutely that it cannot even make a small scratch on your being. It is going to take away your body, your mind, but not you. You belong to the immortal life.” - Osho
